8 >> SYMBOLS AND PICTOGRAMS
Safety Rules
While reading this handbook, you will often
notice that certain topics are preceded by the
word “Warning!” in red. This is done in order to
highlight the possible dangerous situations
and/or errors which may occur during the ope-
ration described. The adhesive pictograms he-
reinafter described are those you will nd near
the dangerous parts we want to highlight.
Every operator is reminded to wear, while wor-
king, all the necessary personal protective equi-
pment, such as safety boots, safety glasses, sa-
fety helmets, and safety gloves, which must all
be certied as meeting safety requirements.
Symbols and Pictograms
The instructions in this handbook are for your
safety and the safety of others.
Meaning of the symbols found in the following
diagrams:
1. Do not operate the tractor and the imple-
ment if there are people within 10 meters
of the unit. With the exception of the ope-
rator on the tractor, the operators involved
in the work can carry out the operations
only at a distance of no less than 10 meters
from the unit.
2. Keep away from the rotating parts and their sa-
fety guards; keep ropes, belts, and similar items
away from the moving parts as they may get en-
tangled in them; do not wear clothes with aps
or loose ends as they may get caught in the ro-
tating parts.
3. Do not touch the hydraulic pipes in order to
avoid getting burnt, since after a long period of
operation they can reach very high temperatu-
res. Read this handbook thoroughly before using
the implement.
4. Before attaching the implement to the tractor,
remove the starter keys from the ignition of
the tractor and read this handbook and that of
the tractor thoroughly. Should you have any
doubts regarding the cantilever mounting of
the implement on the tractor, please consult
the dealer for instructions or have the imple-
ment mounted on the tractor by the dealer.
Weight limits on the axles must be strictly
followed and they must be within those limits
dictated by the homologation requirements
of the tractor in the country where the tractor
is used; if the weight limits on the axles of the
tractor are exceeded, the implement cannot
be mounted onto the tractor.
5. Hydraulic pump to be connected to the power
take oof the tractor; make sure that the num-
ber of rotations and the direction of rotation of
the power take o are observed.
