 Before using the Bergman® Short and Tall Hedge Trimmer for the first time, please be certain to read these
instructions carefully.
 Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of the local supply before connecting
the appliance to the power supply.
 This appliance must not be used by children or any persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
safe use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
 Children shall not play with the appliance.
 Cleaning and user maintenance must be done by a competent adult.
 If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a competent person only.
 The Bergman® Short and Tall Hedge Trimmer is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for
commercial applications.
 This appliance contains no user serviceable parts. All repairs should only be carried out by a qualified person.
Improper repairs may place the user at risk of harm, and will invalidate any guarantee.
 Take care not to damage the power cord by pinching or contact with sharp edges. Check the appliance regularly
for any possible damage. If you see signs of possible damage to the power cord, do not use the appliance.
 Do not operate the appliance after a malfunction or if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.
 Do not submerge the appliance; plug or power cord in water or any other liquids. Do not handle the appliance
or plug with damp or wet hands.
 Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children.
 No liability can be taken for any damage or harm that occurs in the event of improper use or incorrect handling.
