This document provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective use of the Beurer Infrared Massager. It is designed for general use, with specific warnings and guidelines to ensure user safety and product longevity.
The Beurer Infrared Massager is intended for personal use to provide massage and infrared heat to the neck, back, shoulders, and thighs. It is not a substitute for medical treatment. The device can be used by children over 8 years old and individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental skills, or lack of experience/knowledge, provided they are supervised and instructed on safe use, understanding the associated risks. Children must not play with the device, and cleaning/maintenance should not be performed by them unless supervised.
Users are advised to read the instructions carefully, keep them for future reference, and make them accessible to other users. The device has a hot surface, so individuals sensitive to heat should exercise caution. It is crucial not to open or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty and cannot guarantee faultless functionality. Any damage to the mains connection cable necessitates disposal of the device.
The massager features a non-slip handle for comfortable grip. It includes a sliding switch with three settings: "OFF" for turning the device off, "M" for massage only, and "MH" for massage with infrared heat. A control knob allows for continuously adjustable massage speed, enabling users to customize the intensity of their massage. The device comes with two interchangeable massage attachments: a knob attachment and a five-point attachment, offering varied massage experiences. The massage surface itself also incorporates infrared heat.
To use the device, ensure it is switched off before plugging in the mains cable. Select the desired mode ("M" or "MH") using the sliding switch. Adjust the massage speed with the control knob. Users can choose to massage with or without an attachment, depending on preference. The device should be guided with both hands to the desired body area. Massage intensity can be varied by applying more or less pressure. It is recommended not to massage a single area for more than 3 minutes and to change areas frequently. The maximum continuous usage time is 20 minutes to prevent overheating; allow the device to cool down before subsequent use.
Before each use, inspect the device and its mains cable for any damage. Do not plug in a damaged cable; contact customer service or an authorized dealer for repairs. Never hold or carry the device by its mains cable. If a fault occurs during use, switch off the device immediately and unplug it. Connect the device only to the voltage specified on the type nameplate. Always unplug the mains cable immediately after use.
Avoid contact with water, except for cleaning with a slightly damp cloth. Never submerge the device in water or use it in baths, showers, swimming pools, or over filled basins. If water enters the casing, unplug the device immediately and contact customer service. Never cover the device when it is switched on (e.g., with a blanket or pillow). Do not operate the device unsupervised, especially near children. Children, helpless, or disabled persons must use the device under adult supervision or after being familiarized with its operation.
Individuals with cardiac pacemakers should consult their doctor before use and avoid massaging the heart region. Do not use the device on swollen, burned, or injured skin areas. Avoid massaging bones (e.g., joints, spine), the head, or other sensitive body areas. Do not use the massager if you have a cold with high temperature, varicose veins, thrombosis, vein inflammation, jaundice, diabetes, pregnancy, nerve disorders (e.g., sciatica), or acute inflammation; consult a doctor in such cases. Never use the device in bed or fall asleep during use. The device is intended for individual use only, not medical or commercial purposes. Only use the massage attachments provided with the device. Do not use the device with animals or pets.
After use, and once the device has cooled down, it can be cleaned by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth. A mild cleaning agent may be used, but ensure no water enters the device. Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device with household waste. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Contact local authorities for waste disposal inquiries.
