10.2 USE
ATTENTION: ENSURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS EQUIPPED WITH A DIFFERENTIAL SWI-
TCH (LIFE-SAVING SYSTEM) AND WITH A PROTECTIVE CONDUCTOR (GROUNDING SYSTEM).
WATER MUST NOT BE DISTILLED AND/OR DEMINERALIZED.
1. Check for the draining tap (13) to be closed and unscrew the safety cap. Fill in the boiler
with tap water (do not use dislled or demineralized water)
ATTENTION: ensure that the machine is not connected to the electric outlet. If the boiler
is hot and pressured unscrew the tap very slowly. Do not completely ll, water drops may
come out from the iron together with the steam.
2. Connect the power cable (2) to the power grid and ensure that it is fully extended and not
twisted. Do not pull the power cable, crush it and/or stretch it.
3. Acvate the main switch (3) and the boiler switch (7). For dry ironing only acvate the iron
switch (3).
4. Set the temperature of the iron with the thermostat (8). The temperature seng is approxi-
mate. Test the temperature on a hidden part of the cloth. High temperatures may burn
fabrics or cause an unwanted shiny eect (this can be avoided with a TEFLON base).
5. Before starng the job wait for the steam ready light (11) to light on. During the ironing the
light will turn o and on according to the temperature inside the boiler.
NEVER UNSCREW THE CAP WHILE THE BOILER IS PRESSURED/IN USE.
6. Press on the red buon on the iron handle (10) to deliver steam. Address the rst steam
jet far from people and/or animals, to a safe direcon, and press several mes to get rid of
possible condensaon.
7. When the iron delivers less steam, or when the low water level light (9) is on, turn o all the
switches. Open carefully the safety cap to release the residual pressure. Wait 5 minutes for
the boiler to get cooler and ll it up following the instrucons.
At the end of the job, turn o all the switches and unplug the machine from the outlet. It is not
necessary to empty the boiler. Empty the boiler at least once a month.
10. INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE BF070
10.1 INSTALLATION
ATTENTION: read and follow carefully all the safety instrucons previusly reported, pay at-
tenon to the instrucons about the electrical system to which the appliance is connected.
1. Open the ironing board and posion the adjustable leg (1) according to the required height.
Place the board on a at and stable oor.
2. Connect the power cable (2) to an outlet.
3. Acvate the main switch (3).
4. Wait 10 minutes for the board to warm up.
5. Press the pedal (4) to vacuum.
6. Do not leave temperature sensive objects on the board. Do not place heavy clothings on
the support (5).
