10.3 REGULAR MAINTENANCE: EMPTYING/CLEANING OF THE BOILER
ATTENTION: BEFORE DRAINING THE WATER FROM THE BOILER, UNPLUG THE MACHINE AND
UNSCREW BY HALF A TURN THE SECURITY TAP TO RELEASE THE REMAINING PRESSURE AND
HEAT FROM THE BOILER.
Wait for the boiler to be cool, and the pressure gauge to reach 0. Place a container at the feet of
the boiler and open carefully the security tap leng the water out

To carry out an extraordinary cleaning, pour into the boiler a glass of vinegar and water. Then
shake the steam generator and empty the boiler and rinse with only water. Do not use any an-
-limescale product.
FOR THE MODELS EQUIPPED WITH BOILER THIS OPERATION MUST BE CARRIED OUT DEPEN-
DING ON THE USE OF THE MACHINE AND AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. IF NOT, THE WARRAN-
TYWILL DECAY.
10.4 USABLE WATER
“Boiler volume” means: volume of usable water + steam chamber.
It is normal that the quanty of water inside the boiler is smaller than the boiler volume.
