of the original consumer purchaser.
This device was built to exacting standards
and carefully inspected prior to shipment. This Lifetime
Limited Warranty is an expression of our confidence
in the materials and workmanship of our products
and our assurance to the consumer of years of
dependable service.
In the event of a defect covered by this
warranty, we will, at our option, repair or replace the
device.
This warranty does not cover device failure due
to owner misuse or negligence, or normal wear
and tear. The warranty does not extend to
non-durable components, such as rubber
accessories, casters, and grips, which are subject to
normal wear and need periodic replacement.

The Bilt-Rite Infrared Heat Wand, item #10-65200, is a therapeutic device designed to provide infrared heat for the relief of minor muscular pain, stiffness, and aches. It is intended for intermittent, hand-held use and is suitable for various body parts.

Function Description:

The Infrared Heat Wand emits infrared heat, which penetrates below the skin to stimulate blood flow. This increased circulation aids in speeding up healing, relieving minor muscular pain, relaxing muscles, and reducing joint stiffness. It is recommended for conditions such as backache, tennis elbow, muscle strains, and soreness. The device is designed for complete, comfortable, and safe body coverage, with an angled handle to facilitate reaching difficult areas.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power: Operates on a 120-volt outlet.
  • Heat Intensity: Features two temperature settings: high and low heat intensity.
  • Plug Type: Equipped with a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) as a safety feature.
  • Usage Duration: Intended for intermittent use, not to be operated continuously for more than a few minutes on any single area, and for a maximum of 30 minutes at one time.
  • Bulb: Utilizes an infrared heat lamp, which is replaceable.

Usage Features:

  • Initial Setup: Plug the device into a 120-volt outlet and set it to low heat intensity to allow it to warm up.
  • Temperature Check: Before applying to the body, lightly touch the infrared lamp with fingertips to check the temperature. If uncomfortable, turn off the device for a short period.
  • Application Method: Apply the Infrared Heat Wand to the affected area, moving it in a slow circular motion with slight pressure to provide a massaging action. The application should feel comfortably warm.
  • Discomfort/Adverse Reactions: Discontinue use if any discomfort, redness, burning sensation, or swelling occurs in the treated area. Do not reapply if the area is sensitive to the touch. Some redness is normal and should disappear within approximately one hour.
  • Use with Lotions/Oils: When using body lotion, smoothing cream, or massage oil, first cover the area with a cloth or paper towel before applying the wand with a slow circular motion.
  • Recommended Duration: For maximum benefit, use the Infrared Heat Wand for 5 to 10 minutes per area. Avoid continuous application for more than a few minutes on any single spot.
  • Post-Use: After use, disconnect the wand from the outlet, allow it to cool, and then clean it with a damp cloth. Do not use strong chemical cleaners like benzine.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Do not use while bathing or where the lamp could fall into water.
    • Avoid contact with plumbing, water basins, tubs, or electrical wiring.
    • Do not immerse the unit in water.
    • Keep the unit dry and do not operate in wet or moist conditions.
    • Never leave the device connected to an electrical supply when not in use.
    • Do not operate if the unit or power cord is damaged.
    • Never pull or manipulate the massager by the cord; avoid excessive pulling or twisting of the cord. Inspect the cord frequently for damage at the entry point into the product.
    • To prevent overheating, burns, or fire, use only as directed. Never fall asleep while using the unit or allow bed covers or other materials to wrap around it.
    • Do not apply infrared heat continuously to any area for more than a few minutes.
    • Avoid application in cases of tuberculosis, benign and malignant tumors, hemorrhages, skin inflammations, phlebitis, thrombosis, open wounds, bruises, broken skin, varicose veins, or poor circulation. Do not use if abdominal pain is present.
    • Do not apply to skin areas with abnormal sensitivities or to sensitive/genital areas.
    • Do not use on unexplained pain or within 72 hours of an injury without consulting a physician. Discontinue use if swelling occurs.
    • Consult a physician for therapeutic questions.
    • Do not apply when the body is wet.
    • Not for use on infants, invalids, or unconscious/asleep persons.
    • Not intended for clinical or professional use.

Specific Applications:

  • Back: Apply in a light circular motion along the spine, shoulder blades, and lower back for a few minutes on each side. The angled handle is designed for these areas.
  • Neck: Apply from the base of the skull downwards on either side of the spine.
  • Shoulders: Smooth tension by moving outwards from the base of the neck.
  • Arms: Stroke smoothly upwards from wrist to shoulder on both the inside and outside of the arm, including palms.
  • Legs and Feet: Apply upwards from the ball and heel of the foot to relieve aching muscles.
  • Joints: Stroke smoothly in a circular motion on elbows and knees to help relieve pain.
  • Sports Massage: Helps relieve minor aches, strains, and cramped muscles. Do not use immediately after injury; wait at least 72 hours or consult a physician before applying heat.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: After use and cooling, clean the surface with a damp cloth. Avoid strong chemical cleaners like benzine.
  • Bulb Replacement:
    1. Ensure the unit is unplugged and cooled down.
    2. Turn the cover or lamp holder counter-clockwise to remove.
    3. Turn the old bulb counter-clockwise to remove.
    4. Insert a new bulb, turning clockwise to tighten.
    5. Replace the cover by turning it clockwise.
  • Warranty: The Bilt-Rite brand product comes with a Lifetime Limited Warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original consumer purchaser. This warranty does not cover device failure due to owner misuse, negligence, normal wear and tear, or non-durable components such as rubber accessories, casters, and grips, which require periodic replacement.
