The SMART-X™ High Efficiency Dryer utilizes unique SMART-X™ Technology, which automatically measures air and temperature 100 times per second to ensure consistent performance and maximum efficiency. Usage Features:
- Power On/Off and Lock: The appliance is turned on by switching the power/lock switch from off to on. This switch also allows for locking the selected air speed and temperature settings to prevent accidental changes during use. The Cold Shot button can still be used even when settings are locked.
- Air Flow Speed Adjustment: The dryer offers 3 air flow levels. Pressing the top part of the adjustment button increases the air flow, indicated by blue lights. Pressing the bottom part decreases the flow.
- Temperature Settings: There are 3 temperature levels (Warm, Medium, High) adjustable by a dedicated button. Pressing the upper part of the button increases the temperature, indicated by red lights. Pressing the bottom part decreases the temperature.
- Cold Air / Cold Shot Button: This feature promotes long-lasting styles. To activate, press and hold the Cold Shot button; release to deactivate. When active, the dryer blows cold air regardless of the set temperature, and temperature indicators flash quickly.
- Memory Function: The dryer stores the last used air speed and temperature settings when turned off. These settings are automatically restored when the dryer is turned back on. However, if the dryer is disconnected from the outlet, factory settings are restored.
- Recommended Drying Settings: Due to exceptional air flow and pressure, the recommended drying setting for all hair types is the 2nd temperature level, while for finer hair, the 1st level is recommended.
- ALCI Safety Plug: Before each use, the ALCI plug should be checked. Plug into a power outlet, press the reset button, then press the test button (the reset button should pop up). For use, press the reset button again. If the test fails, the unit should be brought to a service center for examination and repair.
Maintenance Features:
- Filter Cleaning: The SMART-X™ High Efficiency Dryer has a unique micro-perforated metal filter designed to trap even the smallest dirt particles and impurities, extending motor life and protecting hair and scalp. Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance.
- Manual Cleaning:
- Carefully remove the external back filter by gently pressing and pulling backwards.
- Clean the metal filter using the provided filter cleaning brush, then wipe with a clean cloth to remove any lodged dirt. Moistening the cloth with isopropyl alcohol is recommended for degreasing and residue removal.
- For professional users, manual cleaning should be done daily; for domestic use, weekly cleaning is sufficient.
- Auto-Cleaning Function:
- Auto-Alert Light: When auto-cleaning is needed, all three speed lights will flash for 5 seconds, during which no operations can be performed. After 6 seconds, the dryer returns to the last memory setting and functions normally.
- How to Auto-Clean: Plug in the hair dryer and hold down the "Speed lower" button for approximately 10 seconds. This activates the auto-clean function, which automatically switches off after 15 seconds. After auto-cleaning, the dryer powers off and recalculates when cleaning is next needed.
- General Maintenance: The dryer is virtually maintenance-free and requires no lubrication. Keep all openings clear of dirt or dust. If dirt or oils accumulate, unplug the unit and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Untwist the cord periodically during use to avoid tangling. Do not attempt to repair malfunctions yourself; return the appliance to an authorized facility or the manufacturer.
- Storage: When not in use, unplug the dryer, allow it to cool, and store it in its box or a dry place. Do not store it while hot or plugged in. Avoid wrapping the cord tightly around the appliance or hanging the dryer by the cord, and do not put stress on the cord where it enters the dryer to prevent fraying and breakage.
