If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner has reduced spray or no spray, the Clean Water Tank might be empty. Refill it. The Clean Water Tank may not be seated completely; turn the power OFF, then remove and reseat the tank. The pump may have lost prime in hose cleaning mode; hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime it.

    • L
      lowejesseAug 26, 2025
If your Clean Water Tank is leaking, it might be overfilled. Ensure the tank has the correct amount of water and formula. With the cap tightly on, hold the tank at an angle over a sink or drain to allow any extra water to pour out. Wipe the tank dry with a cloth. Also, water may be caught in space between the tank and the tank’s handle.

Why is my Bissell Vacuum Cleaner losing suction power?
    • T
      troy69Sep 4, 2025
Several factors can cause a loss of suction power in your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner. The tanks might not be seated correctly, so pick up both tanks and reseat them properly. The Dirty Water Tank may be full, so empty it if it has reached the full line. Check the Clean Water Tank and refill it if empty. Ensure the rubber tab on the Dirty Water Tank is sealed tightly and that the Accessory Hose Door is closed securely. The nozzle may be clogged, so use the Nozzle Clean Out Tool. Finally, make sure the nozzle is installed correctly; if not, remove and reinstall it.
