Why is my Black & Decker Iron not producing enough steam? Several factors could be at play. First, ensure that the SmartSteam™ Dial is set to 4–6 for steam ironing, as lower heat levels don't produce steam. Second, check the water tank level and refill it to the Max level if it's low, following the instructions under the “filling the water tank” section. Finally, give the iron enough time to preheat fully to the desired setting. The anti-drip feature prevents steam creation if the iron isn't properly preheated.
