  If the Black & Decker Diagnostic Equipment screen toggles between “Link” and “Error”, and the ignition is on, try disconnecting the tool from the vehicle. Then, turn the ignition off for 10 seconds before turning it back on and reconnecting the tool. Also, your vehicle may not be OBD II compliant/certified. Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information Decal in the engine compartment to verify that the vehicle is identified as “OBDII Certified”. If it isn't, the tool won't work with your vehicle.
