If the Orbit does not work:
♦ Check that the batteries are oriented
correctly and touching the contacts.
♦ Replace the batteries.

The Black Diamond Orbit meets the requirements

operation prior to using and, for critical
situations, carry a second light and
sufficient spare batteries.
Black Diamond Equipment is not
responsible for the consequences,
whether direct, indirect, or accidental,
or for any other type of damage arising
or resulting from the use of its products.
You are responsible for your actions and
activities and for any consequences that
may result from them.
LIMITED WARRANTY
We warrant for one year from purchase
date and only to the original retail buyer
(Buyer) that our products (Products)
are free from defects in material and
workmanship. For lighting products,
our warranty is for three years. If Buyer
discovers a covered defect, Buyer
should return the Product to the place
of purchase. In the event that this is not
possible, return the Product to us at the
address provided. The Product will be
repaired or replaced at our discretion.
That is the extent of our liability under
this Warranty and, upon expiration of
the applicable warranty period, all such
liability shall terminate. We reserve the
right to require proof of purchase for all
warranty claims.

IMPORTANT: Follow all instructions
carefully. Any modif ications of this
product will void the warranty. Misuse of
the lantern may cause the user harm.
BATTERIES
The Orbit functions with either 4 AAA
alkaline or lithium batteries or the Black
Diamond NRG Rechargeable Battery Kit
(sold separately).
To make rechargeable, purchase the
NRG2 Rechargeable Battery Kit and follow
instructions.
When using AAA batteries:
♦ Do not mix old and new batteries.
♦ Dispose of the used batteries properly.
Battery life will vary depending
upon:
♦ Battery source used.
♦ Brand and freshness of batteries.
♦ Ambient temperature.
♦ Brightness setting used.

PILES
L’Orbit fonctionne soit avec 4 piles lithium
ou alcalines AAA soit avec le Kit “Black
Diamond NRG2 Rechargeable Battery Kit”
(vendu séparément).

Lorsque vous utilisez des piles
AAA :
♦ Ne pas mélanger piles neuves et piles

FONCTIONNEMENT
Pour allumer ou éteindre l’Orbit, appuyer
sur l’interrupteur orange situé au centre
(IlIustration 6).
♦ L’Orbit s’allume systématiquement sur
le réglage d’intensité le plus fort.
♦ Maintenir l’interrupteur enfoncé pour
diminuer ou augmenter l’intensité
lumineuse.
♦ Lorsque le plus faible niveau d’intensité
est atteint, la lumière clignote puis
l’intensité se met à augmenter.

♦ Repérez toute trace de corrosion sur les

OPERATION
To turn the Orbit on (and off), depress the
center orange switch (Illustration 6).
♦ The Orbit will
always turn on
at the brightest
setting.
♦ Hold down the

Lichtstärke eingeschaltet.
♦ Halten Sie den Schalter gedrückt,
um die Helligkeit zu dimmen oder zu
erhöhen.
♦ Das Licht blinkt auf, wenn die
niedrigste Helligkeitsstufe erreicht ist
und wird dann wieder heller.
♦ Das Licht blinkt ebenfalls auf, wenn die
höchste Helligkeitsstufe erreicht ist
und wird dann wieder schwächer.
♦ Sie können die Orbit mit einem
oder mit beiden oben am Deckel
integrierten Haken aufhängen.

REINIGUNG
Stellen Sie vor der Aufbewahrung sicher,
dass die Laterne sauber und trocken ist.
♦ Bewahren Sie die Laterne NICHT in
feuchtem Zustand auf.
♦ Erwärmen Sie die Laterne NICHT zum
Trocknen.
♦ Reinigen Sie die Laterne mit einem
feuchtem, weichen Tuch. NICHT in
Wasser eintauchen. Lassen Sie die
Laterne an der Luft trocknen.

FEHLERBEHEBUNG
Wenn die Orbit nicht funktioniert:
♦ Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien

pas possible, renvoyez-nous le Produit à
l’adresse indiquée. Ce Produit sera réparé
ou échangé gratuitement. L’étendue
de notre responsabilité se limite à la
présente Garantie et prend fin au terme
de la période de garantie applicable.
Nous nous réservons le droit d’exiger une
preuve d’achat pour toutes les demandes
d’application de la Garantie.

Sont exclus de cette Garantie l’usure
normale du Produit (rayure et abrasion

nicht möglich sein, sollte der Käufer das
