Instructions for Replacement of the Fan
Cover for BV5600, BV6000, and BV6600
Blower/Vacuum/Mulchers, Type 1
IMPORTANT SAFETY
WARNINGS AND
INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
Original fan cover has fallen off and users have sustained a
serious laceration to their hand and fingers.
Replace fan cover before using blower.
Continued use of current fan cover could result in serious
hand laceration, change to new fan cover provided and
immediately dispose of current fan cover to prevent anyinjury.
ASSEMBLY OF THE NEW FAN COVER
Step 1: Unplug blower from power source.
Step 2: Remove fan cover by pressing the release button on the
power head.
Step 3: Promptly dispose of the original fan cover (figure A Left)
following local solid waste disposal or recycling regulations.
Step 4: Fit new fan cover (figure A Right) onto the power head as
shown in figureB and push until an audible click is heard.
NOTE: The new fan cover has a raised wall that covers the
latch button on the blower.
Step 5: Apply replacement “Type 2” label over “Type 1” on nameplate
on side of power head.
Step 6: Make sure new fan cover is securely seated and latched into
position before powering blower.
TO REMOVE FAN COVER
If you need to remove new fan cover, insert a screwdriver or hex key in
the slot on the end of the fan cover (located on the back of the power
head) and rotate the fan cover to remove it as shown in figure C.
