lid on rice cooker with the vent facing away from cabinets and walls. Do not
place hands over steam vent while rice is cooking or finished cooking; the hot
steam can burn.
COOKING RICE
1. Plug power cord into a standard electric outlet. The unit beeps once
and the indicator lights of the Function Selector and the ON/OFF
indicator light flashes red.
2. Turn function selector to desired function. You have 3 selections to
choose from: Regular Rice (Arroz Normal), very crispy (Pega Completa)
and semi crispy (Semi Pega).
3. Press the ON/OFF button, the unit beeps one more time and the
indicator lights of the selected function and the ON/OFF become
steady. The unit starts to cook.
4. If you want to change the selected Function, first press the ON/OFF
button and then turn the selector to the desired function.
Press the ON/OFF button again to start cooking.
NOTE: During the cooking cycle, it is normal for the lid to rise a little and
for bubbles to form around de edges.
The following chart provides additional information for cooking Pega (crispy rice)
when cooking 2 or 4 cups.

For optimum results, use 2 or 4 cups when cooking Pega (crispy rice), using the
Semi Pega or Pega Completa function.
5. When cooking is done, the unit automatically switches to the Keep
Warm mode, the indicator light illuminates and you hear 5 beeps.
6. When ready to serve, use oven gloves to remove lid and cooking bowl.
Caution: When removing the lid, lift it away from your body as you may get
burned with the hot steam.
7. Unplug the appliance when not in use and always allow the rice cooker
to completely cool before cleaning.
Important Tips:
• Do not plug the appliance without the cooking bowl in place.
