Why is my Black+Decker Vitessa ICR2020 Iron not steaming?
    • A
      annabradyAug 7, 2025
If your Black+Decker Iron isn't producing steam, several factors could be the cause. First, the SmartSteam™ setting might be too low; try adjusting the dial to settings 4–6. Second, the water tank may be insufficiently filled; ensure it's filled to the Max level marker, following the instructions in the “filling the water tank” section. Lastly, the iron might not be fully preheated. The anti-drip feature prevents steam creation until the iron reaches the desired temperature, so allow additional heating time.

What to do if my Black+Decker Iron is leaking?
    • B
      Brandon WhiteAug 17, 2025
If your Black+Decker Iron is leaking or spitting water, it could be due to overuse of the Burst of Steam button. Allow more time between bursts for the iron to reheat. Alternatively, the SmartSteam™ setting might be too low. Lower temperature settings are not designed for steam; either turn the SmartSteam™ dial to settings 4–6 or use spray mist for additional moisture.

How to prevent discolored water from Black+Decker Vitessa ICR2020 staining fabric?
    • J
      jacquelinereynoldsAug 27, 2025
If discolored water is coming through the holes of your Black+Decker Iron and staining the fabric, it is likely due to residue build-up in the soleplate cavity or in the soleplate holes. To resolve this, empty the water tank after each use and regularly use the Auto-Clean™ function to clean your iron. Also, avoid using descaling agents, perfumed or scented additives or starch. If you use starch, always clean your soleplate after using it. Finally, use only untreated tap water or a mix of half tap and half distilled water.
