Summary

Battery Information and Handling

Battery Type and Indicator

Recommends AA lithium batteries and explains the amber indicator's meaning.

Wireless Tow Light Usage Guide

Battery Installation

Install fresh AA batteries into each light base per indicated polarity.

Transmitter Connection

Connect the transmitter to your "four-flat" trailer plug on the vehicle.

Transmitter Mounting

Attach the transmitter to a steel surface in the rear of the towing vehicle.

Light Activation

Turn the switch located on the bottom of the "LH" base to "On".

Light Placement

Attach lights on a flat surface, as far apart as practical and at equal distance.

Light Alignment

Detach lights by tipping to disengage the magnetic base before repositioning.

Cable Management

Use a tie wrap to collect any loose cable between the lights.

Function Verification

Verify operation of tail, stop, and turn signals. Do not drive if lights don't function.

Periodic Checks

Check battery LED indicator and light functions every two hours.

Storage and Shutdown

Switch off lights after use, store components separately to keep magnets clear.

Important Considerations and Troubleshooting

System Compatibility

Kit is designed for standard 12-volt vehicle systems.

Operation Checks

Confirm brake, turn signal, and running lights operate correctly every 2 hours.

Battery Performance

Battery performance may decrease below 20°F; check indicator and replace as needed.

Environmental Precautions

Do not submerge lights or transmitter in water to prevent damage.

Spare Batteries

Always have a spare set of eight AA batteries on hand for extended trips.

Wiring Scheme

Details the transmitter's wire colors for tail, brake, and turn signals.

No Light Function

If lights don't function, check or replace all batteries first.

Reversed Turn Signals

If signals are reversed, swap the yellow and green wires on the transmitter.

Partial Functionality

If only some functions work, check the four-flat trailer connector wiring.

Connector Corrosion

Check for corrosion on four-flat plugs and clean with baking soda.

Product Limitations and Compliance

Transmission Range

Do not operate towing lights farther than 65 feet (19.8 meters) from the transmitter.

FCC Compliance

States compliance with FCC rules and potential interference issues.

Radiation Exposure Limits

Complies with FCC and Industry Canada radiation exposure limits for uncontrolled environments.
