Why are the plow functions slow on my Blizzard Automobile Accessories?
    • A
      Anna HarrellAug 18, 2025
If the pump of your Blizzard Automobile Accessories runs slowly, it might be due to several reasons. First, the fluid level in the pump reservoir could be low or leaking; add fluid to within 3/4” from the top of the tank and check for leaks around the pump, manifold, and cylinders. Second, the system pressure may be set too low; adjust the pressure by removing the hex cap on top of the pump and turning the screw clockwise until the system pressure is at 2400PSI. Third, the vehicle’s alternator may not be providing enough amperage; repair or replace the vehicle alternator, noting that the system amperage draw is 135A (145A for 760LT) at 1500PSI. Finally, the pump filter may be clogged; remove the pump tank and thoroughly clean the filter.

Why will my Blizzard Snowplow 760HD Automobile Accessories plow not lift?
    • M
      melissa96Aug 20, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories plow will not lift, first ensure that the control station in the cab is properly connected to the vehicle harness. Also, check if the A-frame latch is in the locked (down) position and lift it to the raised position. Additionally, the diode loop harness may be corroded or failed; clean it thoroughly or replace it. Lastly, the coils on the manifold may be damaged. To check, remove the S6 coil, position a screwdriver inside, and push the draw latch connect/disconnect toggle switch upward; if the screwdriver is not magnetically drawn to the coil, replace the coil.

How to fix headlights that will not switch to the snowplow on my Blizzard Snowplow 760HD Automobile Accessories?
    • A
      Amy CalhounAug 23, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories headlights will not switch from the vehicle to the snowplow, verify the headlight/ground relay connector is connected. If the connector is properly attached, replace the headlight relay(s).

What causes a Blizzard Snowplow 760HD plow to not lift even with magnification to the S6 coil?
    • T
      Troy PriceAug 26, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories plow will not lift, even with magnification to the S6 coil, there may be a hydraulic lock in the manifold. Loosen cartridge valve S6 to relieve pressure and retighten, but do not overtighten (valves should be torqued to a maximum of 24 ft-lbs). Alternatively, the solenoid cartridge valve may be contaminated. Remove any foreign objects that may be obstructing proper valve operation. Replace the valve if it does not operate properly after cleaning.

Why is my Blizzard Automobile Accessories plow lowering too slow?
    • S
      Sheila RuizAug 28, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories plow lowers too slow, the variable flow control valve is not adjusted properly. Drop the snowplow to the ground before adjusting the flow control to prevent sudden falls that could cause serious injury or death. Turn the flow control valve counterclockwise in small increments and test.

Why does my Blizzard Snowplow 760HD plow drop sporadically?
    • J
      Joshua RobinsonAug 30, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories plow drops sporadically, the variable flow control valve is likely opened too far. To correct this, drop the snowplow to the ground before adjusting the flow control to prevent sudden falls that could cause serious injury or death. Turn the valve clockwise 1/16 of a turn and test.

Why will my Blizzard Snowplow 760HD Automobile Accessories plow not stay angled when plowing?
    • M
      Matthew JacksonSep 2, 2025
If your Blizzard Automobile Accessories plow will not stay angled when plowing, the angle pressure relief valve may be set too low. Check the pressure relief by testing the valve inline with the cylinder. Attach a tee fitting to the angle cylinder hydraulic adapter and connect the hose and pressure gauge to the tee. The setting should not exceed 3000PSI.

What to do if the pump will not turn off on my Blizzard Snowplow 760HD?
    • M
      Misty WestSep 5, 2025
If the pump of your Blizzard Automobile Accessories will not turn off, the solenoid may be damaged. Disconnect the brown/white activation wire from the solenoid; if the problem persists, replace the solenoid. Alternatively, there may be a short in the control or wire harness. Disconnect the control in the cab; if the pump turns off, there is a short in the electrical system.

How to troubleshoot a pump that will not run on Blizzard Snowplow 760HD Automobile Accessories?
    • C
      Cory ChurchSep 7, 2025
If the pump of your Blizzard Automobile Accessories will not run, first verify that the plow harness is properly connected to the vehicle harness. Next, ensure that the power or ground cables to the battery, pump, or solenoid are properly connected. Clean and lubricate the connections with dielectric grease. If power does not resume, check the continuity of all cables to find the break.

What to do if the pump will not run with power to the solenoid on my Blizzard Snowplow 760HD?
    • V
      Veronica WalkerSep 9, 2025
If the pump of your Blizzard Automobile Accessories will not run but there is power to the solenoid, make sure that the black ground wire and brown/white activation wire on the solenoid are properly connected. Test for power by initiating any control function except the float. Ensure the POWER rocker switch is in the “ON” position to properly test any plow function. If the solenoid is grounded and no power exists, diagnose the plow & truck harnesses.
