What does it mean if Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint is engaged but light is red?
    • L
      Lauren FranklinSep 4, 2025
If the restraint is engaged on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system, but the inside light is still red, the dock leveler may not be deployed, meaning the dock interlock sensor still detects the lip. Alternatively, the dock interlock might be damaged and need replacement.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint extends but doesn't lower?
    • D
      Deborah WileySep 17, 2025
If the restraint on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system extends fully, but does not lower, the tilt antenna may be out of adjustment; set it to the proper setup position. The SV1 may not be energizing; check the connections and proper lead termination. The SV1 stem/cartridge might not be shifting; replace the solenoid. The SV3 may not be energizing; check connections and proper lead termination. The SV3 stem/cartridge might not be shifting; replace the solenoid.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint lowers but doesn't extend?
    • R
      Robert SalazarSep 15, 2025
If the restraint on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system fully lowers, but does not extend, the SV1 solenoid might be active; check the wiring. The SV1 stem/cartridge could be damaged; replace the solenoid. It's also possible that the hydraulic oil is low; fill it to the proper level. The hook down antenna might not be in range; adjust it to the proper setting. Additionally, the SV2 solenoid could be active; check the wiring. The SV2 solenoid stem/cartridge might be damaged; replace the solenoid. Finally, the SV4 unloader solenoid could be faulty; replace the valve.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint extends but doesn't fully lower?
    • J
      Jessica MartinezSep 13, 2025
If the restraint on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system does not fully lower, but fully extends, the hook could be blocked; check for foreign debris. The tilt antenna may be out of adjustment; set it to the proper setup position. The pressure relief valve might be set too low; adjust it to the proper settings.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint won't raise but lowers and extends?
    • L
      linda59Sep 12, 2025
If the restraint on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical lowers and extends fully but will not raise, and the motor is running in pressure relief, the solenoid SV3 might be electrically on; check for shorts. The SV3 solenoid stem/cartridge may not be shifting when de-energized, requiring you to replace the solenoid. A tilt cylinder internal spring could be broken, so replace the cylinder. Mechanical binding may also be occurring; check all pivot points for possible seizing or foreign debris. Finally, the tilt antenna may be malfunctioning; check the sensor and antenna for proper setup.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint does not fully extend?
    • K
      Karen ArnoldSep 10, 2025
If the restraint on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system does not fully extend, the hydraulic oil might be too low. Add hydraulic oil, being careful not to overfill the tank. Add oil to the tank with both hydraulic cylinders retracted.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical LED lights are off but LCD is working?
    • R
      Ricardo PenningtonSep 9, 2025
If the restraint on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system works, but the LED cover lights are not lit while the LCD display is working, the power source for the lights may be damaged. In this case, replace the control board.

What to do if Blue Giant Industrial Electrical hook releases but doesn't retract?
    • C
      Christopher MorrowSep 7, 2025
If the restraint hook on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system releases from the ICC bar and lowers, but does not retract, the SV1 solenoid may still be active; check the wiring. The SV1 solenoid stem/cartridge could be damaged, requiring you to replace the solenoid. The SV2 solenoid might not be active, so check its wiring. The SV2 solenoid stem/cartridge could also be damaged, so replace the solenoid if necessary.

Why Blue Giant Industrial Electrical hook doesn't hold ICC bar tightly?
    • T
      Tristan SchultzSep 5, 2025
If the restraint hook on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system doesn't hold the ICC bar tightly and the inside lights turn green, the pressure switch may be set too low. Adjustment should be performed by qualified personnel. Another cause might be the use of the wrong hydraulic oil; replace it with an approved type.

What to do if the Blue Giant Industrial Electrical restraint hook will not rise?
    • L
      lmaddoxAug 21, 2025
If the restraint hook on your Blue Giant Industrial Electrical system won't rise when you press the ENGAGE button, there are several potential causes. It could be due to faulty wiring, a connection issue, or a broken wire, in which case you should refer to the electrical wiring diagram. There might be a power source problem; check the incoming voltage against the data nameplate voltage. The restraint apparatus could be seized, so inspect it for foreign objects like broken wooden pallet splitters. Also, the controls might be in bypass mode, so try pressing the RELEASE button and then the ENGAGE button.
