Why won't the main burners light on my Blue Seal G50 Ranges?

  If the main burners on your Blue Seal Ranges won't light, several issues could be the cause. It might be due to wrong size or blocked injectors, requiring you to replace or clean them. An obstruction in the burner itself could also be the problem, so try cleaning the burner. Incorrect supply pressure or a faulty gas control could also be responsible; in these cases, check the supply pressure or replace the gas control.

  If the main burner on your Blue Seal Ranges goes out when the knob is released, it could be due to a few reasons. Try holding the control knob in for a longer period, about 30 seconds, to allow the thermocouple to heat up properly and see if the pilot stays lit. If that doesn't work, the thermocouple itself might be faulty and need replacing. Alternatively, the gas magnet could be faulty, requiring replacement as well.
