It utilizes a rotary diaphragm pump mechanism and is engineered for quiet, anti-vibration operation, making it suitable for both conduit installations and more hidden placements.
Function Description:
The MicroBlue® pump is designed to automatically remove condensate water from air conditioning systems. It operates by detecting the presence of water in its reservoir or condensate drip tray. When water levels rise, the pump activates, indicated by a flashing green mode light, and pumps the water to a desired drainage point. Once the reservoir is emptied, the pump switches off, and the mode light returns to solid green. In case of an alarm condition, such as a full reservoir or a fault, the pump will indicate this with a flashing red light and an audible buzzer. The pump is self-priming and can be mounted in any orientation, provided it remains in a dry environment.

Usage Features:
- Installation Flexibility: The compact design allows for installation inside the conduit of an air conditioning unit or other discreet locations. It can be mounted in any orientation but must be kept dry and secured using supplied cable ties and adhesive-backed velcro.
- Reservoir Option: The pump can be used with an external reservoir, offering flexibility in condensate collection. The reservoir has multiple inlet/outlet options (top or side) and includes a vent tube that must remain unblocked and secured above the maximum condensate level. The reservoir assembly must be secured in a horizontal position.
- Mode Light/Buzzer:
- Standby: Solid green light.
- Pumping: Flashing green light.
- Alarm: Flashing red light and audible buzzer, indicating a fault or full reservoir.
- Discharge Pipe Run: The pump can handle various discharge pipe configurations. For every meter not used on vertical head, the pump can run 3 meters horizontally. The pump can also be mounted up to 2 meters from the Fan Coil Unit (FCU). A heavy load on the pump will reduce the flow rate over greater distances. Tubing size for discharge is 1/4" ID braided.

Maintenance Features:
- Reservoir Cleaning: The reservoir must be cleaned regularly to ensure optimal performance and prevent blockages.
- Operational Test: After installation, an operational test must be conducted to ensure correct functionality. This involves slowly pouring cold water into the condensate drip tray until the pump activates, observing the mode light changes, and allowing the pump to run until it switches off. The pump should run for approximately 1-15 seconds after emptying the reservoir/condensate tray pipe. This test helps verify proper operation and identify any potential issues.
