Function Description

The Bluesky BCM125-15 is a coffee maker intended for domestic and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments, farmhouses, by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments, and bed and breakfast type environments. Its primary function is to brew coffee using fresh, cold water. The appliance features a rotary holder top cover, a rotary holder, a carafe, a water tank cover, a water tank, a base, and a switch for operation.

Usage Features

Before First Use: For optimal taste, it is recommended to carry out 2 or 3 boil-processes with fresh water (without coffee) before the first actual use. After the water has passed through, switch off the appliance and let it cool down for 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water.

Making Coffee:

  1. Fill the water tank with the required quantity of water. Ensure that the water level is not lower than the minimum mark and not higher than the "MAX" indication. Use fresh, cold water only. The number of cups can be read on the water tank.
  2. Fill the desired quantity of ground coffee into the filter.
  3. Switch on the appliance. Wait until the brewing process is finished and the funnel has run empty.
  4. For large cups, the appliance takes 5-6g of ground coffee per cup.
  5. If you have made one cup of coffee and wish to make some more straight away, allow the coffee maker to cool down and at least 5 minutes to pass. Then you can refill the water tank.

General Usage Guidelines:

  • The appliance must not be immersed in water.
  • Before connecting, verify that the appliance's voltage matches your home's main voltage.
  • Do not place the appliance on a hot surface.
  • Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  • Always remove the main plug from the wall socket if problems occur during coffee making or before cleaning.
  • Ensure the main cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Keep the appliance out of children's reach and prevent them from pulling the main cord.
  • Do not pour any water before the appliance has been turned on.
  • The heating plate becomes hot during operation; avoid touching it to prevent severe burns.
  • Use only fresh, cold water to fill the water tank.
  • The surfaces of the appliance are liable to get hot during use.

Safety Instructions:

  • Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Always remove the main plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water.
  • Clean the appliance with a damp cloth.
  • The carafe and the filter and the funnel can be washed in hot soapy water.

Descaling:

  • Descale your coffee maker regularly.
  • To descale, operate the appliance as described for making coffee, but use ordinary vinegar to fill the water tank and do not fill the funnel with ground coffee.
  • After descaling, operate the appliance twice more with only water to rinse away the vinegar and scale remainders.

Recycling: This product bears the selective sorting symbol for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), indicating that it must be handled pursuant to European directive 2012/19/EC for recycling or dismantling to minimize its environmental impact.
