Vehicle acknowledgement
signals
The system switch-on is acknowledged by two
flashes.
The side lights remain switched on while the
system is switched on.
Calling up the air conditioning
menu
Press the button.
The climate comfort menu is displayed.
Individual settings can be performed for certain
air conditioning functions.
Switching on/off directly
General
The system can be switched on or off directly in
various ways:
▷ Via iDrive.
▷ With the vehicle key.
▷ Via BMW display key.
The system can also be switched off directly by
pressing the start/stop button without pressing
the brake pedal.
The system switches off automatically after ap‐
prox. 15 minutes.
For safety reasons, the system can only be
switched on twice in succession. The system will
be available again once the drive-ready state has
been activated and deactivated again.
Via iDrive

4. "Aux. climate control/ventilation"
5. "Start now"
Via vehicle key
The system can be switched on and off using
the vehicle key.
Press the vehicle key button three times
within 1 second.
After the vehicle key is pressed, it will take
around 3 seconds for the engine to switch on.
To switch the system off, press the button again
three times.
Using BMW display key
Switch on:
1.
Switch on the display of the BMW Display
key.
2. "Precondit. setting"
3. Tap the symbol.
4. "Activate now"
5. "Start"
Switch off:
1.
Switch on the display of the BMW Display
key.
2. "Precondit. setting"
3. Tap the symbol.
4. "Stop"
