Indicator and warning lights appear in panel 1 or
2. See the table for information on causes and
how to react. Note whether a light comes on
individually or in combination with another.
Some lights can be lit in different colours. Cor-
responding distinctions are drawn in the text.

Flashing turn indicators
High-beam headlights/headlight
flasher switched on
Fog lights switched on
Rear fog lights switched on
Fasten seat belts Fasten your seat belt, see also page 37.
Handbrake applied Release handbrake.
Outside temperature warning Drive cautiously, see also page 61.
Lights up briefly:
Petrol engine: approx. 8 l, approx.
1.8 Imp. gal., of fuel left in the tank
Diesel engine: approx. 6.5 l, approx.
1.4 Imp. gal., of fuel left in the tank
Remains on:
Remaining operating range is no more
than 50 km or 30 miles, see page 62
Engine refuses to start Depress the brake or clutch preparatory
to starting the engine, see page 46.
Ignition switched on and driver's door
open
Switch off the ignition, see page 45, or
close the driver's door.
Side lights still switched on Switch off the side lights, see page 78.
