Raising the load-area floor
For access to the area under the floor,
the spare wheel etc.:
>
Swing up the load-area floor panel
and retain it with the rod (arrow)
>
Open the quick-release fasteners on
the spare wheel cover.

Loading
If you carry heavy or bulky loads in your
BMW:
>
Place heavy loads as far forward as
possible right behind the back rests
or the load area partition and keep
load low (illustration shows the
touring)
>
Wrap protective material round sharp
corners and edges
>
Do not stack loads higher than the
seat backs
>
Pull out the protective net

page 132), making sure that no
objects can penetrate the net

When carrying very heavy loads with
no passengers on the back seat,
insert each of the outer seat belts into
their opposite locks.
