The Car Access System 2 (CAS2) serves as:
• Ignition Switch/Terminal control
• Master controller for Central Locking, Comfort Access, Power Windows
and Sunroof (issues enable command)
• Actuator/Controller of Electronic Steering Lock
• “Key” validation device and Electronic Vehicle Immobilization
• Redundant data storage device for Vehicle Order
• Storage point for Condition Based Service (CBS) data
• Control of KL15 and KL 30g relays
