Remove alternator drive belt. Refer to 11 28 010 REPLACING ALTERNATOR DRIVE BELT (M52 / S52 /
M52TU / M54 / M56).

Drain and dispose of coolant.

Water drain plug is located on exhaust side between cylinders 4 and 5 in engine
block (illustration).
M52TU / M54 / M56
Water drain plug is located on exhaust side on cylinder 2 in engine block.
