Set the topcase on the lug-
gage carrier.
Opening topcase ( 142).
Turn rotary fastener 3 as far
as it will go in the direction in-
dicated by the LOCK arrow
while pressing down on the
back edge of the topcase.
Release warning 4 is no longer
visible.
If the release warning is still vis-
ible the topcase is not correctly
secured.
Make sure that the topcase is
correctly located on the pannier
rack.
Route the connecting cable
forward in cable guide 5.
Work the cable into position at
positions 6.
Close plug connection 1.
Installing passenger seat
( 82).
Install rider's seat ( 80).
