REMOVING COOLANT FROM THE COOLING SYSTEM
AWARNING
Do
not
remove
the
radiator
cap
when
the
engine is
hot.
The
valve
to
remove
the
coolant
is on
the
lef side
of
the
engine
block
(Fig.
53).
To
remove
the
coolant:
1.
Connect
a hose
to
the
valve or use a funnel
to
keep
coolant
from
getting
into
the
engine
compartment.
2.
Remove
the
grill (Fig.
54,
Item 1).
3.
Remove
the
radiator cap (Fig.
54,
Item
2). The grill
must
be removed
to
do
this.
4.
Turn
the
valve so
that
the
lever is
toward
the
outlet
of
the
valve.

Fill The Coolant
System

Close
the
drain valve (Fig.
53).
Mix
50%
water
and
50%
anti-
freeze
(See
Specifications
Page
59)
for
capacity.
Fill
the
radiator and install
the
radiator
cap.
4.
Install
the
grill.
5. Fill
the
coolant
recovery
tank

full.
ALTERNATOR BELT
To adjust
the
belt tension (Fig.
55):
1.
Stop
the
engine.

2. Loosen
the
adjustment
bolt
and
move
the
alternator
to
set
tension
at
1/4"
(6,35
mm). Then
tighten
the
adjustment
bolt.
