Removing And Replacing Case Drain Filters
For the correct service interval (See SERVICE
SCHEDULE on Page 111.)
Raise the operator cab. (See Raising on Page 120.)

Disconnect the hoses from the case drain filter (Item 1)
[Figure 206].
Remove the case drain filter (Item 2) [Figure 206].
Install new case drain filter.

Remove the right side access cover.
Disconnect the hoses from the case drain filter (Item 1)
[Figure 207].
Remove the filter (Item 2) [Figure 207].
Install new case drain filter.
WARNING
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Always clean up spilled fuel or oil. Keep heat, flames,
sparks or lighted tobacco away from fuel and oil.
Failure to use care around combustibles can cause
explosion or fire.

Install right side access cover and lower the cab. (See
Lowering on Page 121.)
Start the engine and operate the loader hydraulic
controls. Stop the engine and check for leaks.
WARNING
Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure can have
sufficient force to enter a person’s body by
penetrating the skin. This can cause serious injury
and possible death if proper medical treatment by a
physician familiar with this injury is not received
immediately.
