Remove the right side access cover bolts (Item 1)
[Figure 258] and remove the access cover.

Put a suitable container below the filter, remove the filter
(Item 1) [Figure 259], and clean the filter base.
Put clean oil on the new filter gasket, install the new filter,
and tighten the filter to 37 – 45 N•m (27 – 33 ft-lb) torque.
Recycle or dispose of used fluid in an environmentally
safe manner.
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Always clean up spilled fuel or oil. Keep heat, flames,
sparks or lighted tobacco away from fuel and oil.
Failure to use care around combustibles can cause
explosion or fire.
