Instructions for Coding the BOLT

Lock to your ignition key:

1.1 Read and remove warning

sticker - remove key from

key chain

down on key while coding)

While maintaining full key

insertion, turn the key

clockwise until it stops

1.3 The lock is now successfully

coded - Cycle Lock 3x to

ensure that the lock was

properly coded

Summary

Coding the BOLT Lock

Remove Warning Sticker and Key

Remove warning sticker and key from keychain before starting the coding process.

Insert and Turn Key to Code

Insert key without pulling up/down, turn clockwise until it stops to code the lock.

Verify Successful Coding

Cycle the lock three times to ensure it has been successfully coded to your ignition key.

Setting Up the Coupler Lock

Select Ball Size

Choose the correct ball size that matches your trailer coupler for proper fitment.

Attach Ball to Plate

Position the selected ball onto the plate, aligning it over the nut for secure attachment.

Tighten Ball Bolt

Use a 3/4” wrench to firmly tighten the bolt securing the ball to the plate.

Using the Off Vehicle Coupler Lock

Attach Plate and Latch Coupler

Place the plate with the attached ball into your coupler and then latch the coupler securely.

Position and Adjust Strap

Place the strap over the coupler and through the plate slots, adjusting for a snug fit.

Insert Pin and Lock

Thread the pin through the plate and strap, then secure it with the BOLT® Lock.

Unlock the Coupler Lock

Use your ignition key to unlock the BOLT® Lock when you need to remove it from the coupler.
