Use Condition 1: Paved Surface

Jumping, hucking, high speeds, or aggressive riding on rougher surfaces.

BEFORE EVERY RIDE: CHECKLIST

Check the headset

Inspect headset for smooth rotation and looseness by rocking the bike.

Check the stem

Verify stem alignment and connection security by testing handlebar movement with wheel locked.

Check that the wheel is properly attached

Test wheel attachment by lifting the bike and hitting the tire top; check for looseness.

Check the fork for fatigue or impact damage

Inspect fork for dents, cracks, scratches, deformation, discoloration, or noise.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Use a front brake

Ensure front brake bolt is correctly installed and tightened to specified torque.

Use a proper headset configuration

Ensure correct headset size and crown race shape for proper fork crown fit.

Use the proper size of disc brake rotor

Use only specified road-sized rotors (165mm, 6" or smaller) for disc brake forks.

FORK MAINTENANCE

Re-alignment of the fork is not possible

Do not bend or twist carbon or aluminum forks; seek dealer inspection if damaged.

Keep the fork clean

Clean the fork with a soft rag, mild detergent, and water.

Avoid chemicals or heat

Avoid solvents, harsh chemicals, and excessive heat (over 180°F/82°C) to prevent damage.

Completely inspect the fork every six months

Perform a thorough inspection of the fork, steerer, and crown every six months.

Do not modify the fork in any way

Modifications void warranty, may cause failure, and are unsafe.
