Overview

The JOYONWAY PB560XB88 by boospa is a control system designed for spa tubs, offering comprehensive management of various functions including pump, blower, lamp, water cycle timer, ozone, heating, and freeze protection. This system is equipped with user-friendly settings for temperature units, temperature values, clock, and water cycle time periods, all accessible via a control panel with intuitive button presses.

Function Description:

Pump Control:

The system allows for the pump to be turned on and off by pressing a dedicated key on the control panel. Once activated, the pump will run for 30 minutes before automatically turning off. Importantly, when the main pump starts, the circulation pump (circ pump) will also initiate operation.

Blower Control:

Similar to the pump, the blower can be toggled on and off using its specific key. The blower also has an automatic shut-off feature, turning off after 30 minutes of continuous operation. Like the pump, the activation of the blower also triggers the start of the circulation pump.

Lamp Control:

The lamp function can be turned on and off by pressing the corresponding key. To prevent excessive use, the lamp is programmed to automatically turn off after 2 hours of being on.

Water Cycle Timer:

This feature allows for scheduled water circulation. Before utilizing this function, it is crucial to set the clock correctly to ensure the accuracy of the timer. Users can define specific time periods for the water cycle to operate. The water cycle function will activate only when the system's current time falls within the set time period and will remain off otherwise.

Ozone Generation:

The ozone function is designed to sanitize the water. It operates intelligently:

  • When the pump and blower are active, the ozone generator will be turned off.
  • Conversely, when both the pump and blower are off, and either the heating cycle pump or the water cycle timer is active, the ozone generator will automatically start.
  • Once the heating cycle pump and water cycle timer are turned off, the ozone generator will also automatically cease operation.

Heating Function:

The heating system maintains the desired water temperature.

  • When the system is powered on and the water temperature drops below the user-defined set temperature, the heating function will automatically activate.
  • Once the water reaches the set temperature, the heating function will turn off.
  • When heating is initiated, the heating circulation pump starts in advance, followed by the heater. When the heating function is turned off, the circulation pump will shut down shortly after.

Freeze Protection:

This critical safety feature protects the spa from freezing temperatures.

  • If the water temperature falls below 6℃ (43°F), the heating function will automatically start to prevent freezing.
  • The heating function will continue until the water temperature reaches 10℃ (50°F), at which point it will turn off.

Usage Features:

Temperature Unit Setting:

To change the temperature unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), the user needs to press and hold the "8" button for 5 seconds when the control system is powered on.

Temperature Setting:

When the system is on and not in a setting state, pressing the "∧" or "∨" buttons allows the user to adjust the desired temperature value.

Clock Setting:

The clock setting interface is displayed as "16:09".

  • To set the hour value, press the "8" button when the system is powered on until the hour value on the LCD display flashes. Then, use the "∧" and "∨" buttons to adjust the hour.
  • To set the minute value, press the "8" button until the minute value flashes on the LCD. Then, use the "∧" and "∨" buttons to adjust the minute value.

Setting Heating Time Period Timer (Water Cycle Time Range):

  • To access the water cycle time range setting interface, press and hold the "8" button until the interface appears. The corresponding time value will flash.
  • Use the "∧" and "∨" buttons to adjust the start and end times for the water cycle. The LCD will display "→" and "→" to indicate the start and end times of the period.
  • Once the water cycle time periods are set, the system will automatically store them.

Maintenance Features (Error Codes):

The system includes an error code display to assist with troubleshooting and maintenance:

  • E1 (Temperature Sensor Malfunction): Indicates an issue with the temperature sensor or its connection. The recommended action is to check the sensor and connection, and replace the sensor if necessary.

  • E2 (Temperature Exceeds Normal Range): This code signifies that the control system's temperature sensor is overheating. This can occur if the heater starts with no water or a very low stream of water inside the heater. Users should ensure the SPA tub has sufficient water. If this malfunction recurs frequently, contact the service provider or manufacturer. It also advises attention to freeze protection if the sensor's temperature is too low.

  • E4 (Thermostat Disconnect / Heater Overheated): This indicates that the heater has overheated. Similar to E2, it can happen if the heating starts with no water or a very low stream of water inside the heater. If this issue occurs repeatedly, contact the service provider or manufacturer.

  • E5 (Panel and Control Box Communication Malfunction): This code suggests a problem with the communication cable between the control panel and the control box. Users should check the cable and replace it if necessary.

The JOYONWAY PB560XB88 offers a robust and intelligent control solution for spa systems, combining essential operational functions with user-friendly settings and critical safety and diagnostic features.
