Important Safety Suggestions
Caution. The metal blades are very sharp!
Please take great care when using your V-Slicer.
Only touch the plastic parts. Never touch the very sharp
blades. For your safety always use the Safety Holder. Never
allow children to touch or play with the V-Slicer. Always store
the V-Slicer out of reach of children and, if you prefer, purchase
the storage box.
Always use the Safety-Holder (B)!
Safety Holder
Usable with every Börner slicer
Attention: Incorrect use of the Safety Holder may
result in injury and will damage the blades of your
V-Slicer. The unique design of the Safety Holder
allows you to safely slice fruits and vegetables with
precision and virtually no waste, while protecting
your ngers from the sharp metal blades.
If necessary, peel the fruit before slicing. Put
onions, cabbage, etc. with root end sinto the
holder rst, so that the knob on top is pushed
up. Large fruits or vegetables must be halved or
quartered before putting into the holder. Slide
the holder continuously with light pressure in the
direction of the arrows down past the V-blades
and back up again. When the fruit is cut to the
holder, push down the knob on top of the holder
and cut the rest of the fruit.
Safety Insert (C)
The safety insert can be used on either side. To
cover the blades completely, slide the insert into
the frame with the at side facing upwards; the
backside can be used to cut medium-sized slices.)
Slice Insert
This insert can be used on both sides.
Thin slicing
Use slide (D) with side marked “thin”acing
upwards. Slide insert into V-Frame (A). Place food
onto prongs of the Safety Holder (B). Using light
pressure, slice with a continuous down and up
motion. Slices will fall underneath the V-slicer.
Thick slicing
Use slicer insert (E) with side marked ”thick“
facing upwards. Slide insert into V-Frame (A) until
it clicks into place. Place food onto prongs of the
Safety Holder (B). Using light pressure, slice with
a continuous down and up motion. Slices will fall
underneath the V-slicer.
