How to fix Bosch AQUA STAR 2400E LP Water Heater burners not igniting?
    • T
      Tyler LeonardJul 30, 2025
If the burners on your Bosch Water Heater fail to ignite when hot water is turned on, verify that the heater on/off switch is in the on (I) position and that the electrical outlet has power (120VAC/60Hz properly grounded circuit required). Also, check the fuses in the control unit to ensure they are in good condition. A minimum of 0.8 gallons per minute (GPM) (3 l/m) is required to activate the heater.

Why does my Bosch AQUA STAR 2400E LP temperature fluctuate?
    • J
      James Le IIAug 4, 2025
To address hot water temperature fluctuations at the tap with your Bosch Water Heater, check for any restrictions in the plumbing outlets that might be limiting hot water flow, which could cause the heater to deactivate. Also, ensure that the water pressure is adequate and constant. If the outlet water temperature is set too high, the heater can produce temperatures that are too hot, leading to deactivation by temperature balancing valves.

How to adjust Bosch AQUA STAR 2400E LP Water Heater when water is too hot?
    • M
      Maria PriceAug 9, 2025
If your Bosch Water Heater is producing water that is too hot, first ensure that the selected temperature on the unit is not set too high. Confirm that the heater's gas type is the same as the gas being supplied. If the inlet cold water temperature is greater than 70°F due to geographic location avoid restrictive outlets. Make sure that both temperature sensors are making contact and are firmly mounted on their respective cold and hot water pipes.

    • B
      Brian CombsAug 14, 2025
If your Bosch Water Heater is not providing hot enough water, make sure that the selected temperature on the unit is not set too low. Confirm that the heater's gas type matches the type of gas being supplied. Check the inlet gas particle screen for any blockage at the gas inlet connection on the bottom of the unit. Also, ensure that both temperature sensors are making contact and are firmly mounted on their respective cold and hot water pipes.

What to do if my Bosch AQUA STAR 2400E LP Water Heater has low water pressure?
    • J
      Jessica WatsonAug 19, 2025
If you are experiencing low water flow or pressure with your Bosch Water Heater, it may be because too many hot water applications are being used simultaneously, or there is too much flow demanded. The GPM shower heads simultaneously or multiple sink applications. Greater draws will result in a water pressure drop and reduced flow at taps. Lowering the selected temperature will allow the motorized water valve to open up for increased water flow rate. Inspect the water path for obstructions, ensuring that all showerheads, faucet aerators, and whole house filters are clear of debris.

Why is my Bosch AQUA STAR 2400E LP Water Heater so noisy?
    • H
      heathermartinAug 25, 2025
If your Bosch Water Heater's burner or heater is making unusual noises during operation, ensure the cover is securely fastened and the exhaust vent adaptor is properly sealed with the supplied gasket, as a sealed combustion leak may be the cause. Ensure adequate combustion air is provided to meet the Combustion Air Requirements. Also, make sure that intake and exhaust terminations maintain required clearances stated in the manual.
