Take the machine out of the packaging according
to fig. A.
Remove the wooden pieces (transport protection,
fig. B).
The wheels and stand must be mounted accord-
ing to figures C and D.
When transporting without the stand, always
use the transport safety piece.
Always use the correct supply voltage: The
power supply voltage must match the information
quoted on the tool identification plate. Tools with
a rating of 230 V can also be connected to a
220 V supply.
The circuit must at least be protected as follows:
AXT 2200 HP = 10 A,
AXT 2500 HP = 16 A.
When being operated with a generator the follow-
ing power rating is required:
AXT 2200 HP — 3.5 kVA/2800 W
AXT 2500 HP — 4.0 kVA/3300 W.
E. g. Bosch generator units G-3600-series.
An extension cable with a small cross section re-
duces the performance of the machine. For cable
lengths of up to 25 m, a cross section of
3 x 1.5 mm
2
is required; for cable lengths over
25 m, the cross section must be 2.5 mm
2
.

Always place the machine on solid, level
ground. Do not tilt or move during opera-
tion.
Remove earth from roots. Foreign material such
as stones, glass, metals, fabrics or plastics must
not enter the feed opening. Otherwise this could
damage the cutting roller 13.
The rotational direction switch 2 must be in the
position to the right. The feed opening 6 must be
empty.
Switching on:
Set the on/off switch 1 to “I”.
Switching off:
Set the on/off switch 1 to “0”.
The motor will coast after switching off!
Restart Protection
A mains failure causes the on/off switch 1 to re-
turn to the “0” position. The machine cannot re-
start on its own when the power returns.
Rotational Direction Switch 2
Before switching the rotational direction, always
switch the machine off and wait until it stops.
Right position: The cutting roller
pulls in and mulches the mate-
rial.
Left position: The cutting roller
runs backward and frees
jammed material.
Overload Protection
Overloading (e. g. blocking of the cutting roller)
causes the machine to stop after a few seconds.
The on/off switch 1 springs to the “0” position.
Switch the rotational direction switch 2 to the left
position (backwards) and after a short period re-
start the machine.
