Activated carbon lter:
For neutralizing odours in recirculating mode.
Caution:
As the lter becomes more and more saturated with
grease, there is an increased risk of re and the
function of the hood may be impaired.
Important:
Change the activated carbon lter promptly to pre-
vent the risk of re from the accumulation of heat
when deep-fat frying or roasting.
These lters are not washable and cannot be regen-
erated, and must be replaced when the C-sign ap-
pears on the display or approximately every year of
operation, or more frequently with heavy usage.
Activation of the alarm signal
In the recycling version hoods the lter saturation
alarm must be activated during the installation or
later.
Switch off the hood and the lights.
Disconnect the hood from the mains supply.
When restoring the connection press and hold
B-key.
When releasing the key two rotating rectangles
appear on the display.
Within 3 seconds press the B-key until a ash-
ing conrmation appears on the dispaly:
2 ashes with C-sign - charcoal lter satu-
ration alarm ACTIVATED
1 ash with C-sign - charcoal lter satura-
tion alarm DEACTIVATED.
Filters and maintenance
Replacing the activated carbon lter
Reset of the alarm signal
Switch off the hood and the lighting.
Press the E-key until the display is unlit.
Replacing of the lter
Unhook the lter-holding Grid (see “Removing
and inserting metal self- supporting grease
lters”)
Remove the saturated activated carbon lter as
shown (A).
Fit the new lters (B). Filter can be ordered at
the customer service

Disposal of the old activated carbon lter:
Activated carbon lters do not contain any
harmful substances. They can be disposed of
as residual waste.
