Red error indicator
light 5 is flashing.
Charging not
possible.
The battery pack is not
inserted properly
Properly insert battery pack into charger.
Dirty or corroded battery
pack contacts
Clean battery contacts by inserting and
removing the battery pack from the charger
several times. Do not attempt to clean
contacts with tools. Have battery serviced by
an Authorized Bosch Service Center or Service
Station.
Battery fault Replace battery pack.
Charger fault Have charger checked by an Authorized Bosch
Service Center or Service Station.
Green charging
indicator light 7 is not
lighting up.
Charger is not plugged
into power outlet
Plug the charger to working power outlet.
Fuse or circuit breaker
tripped
Replace fuse or reset tripped circuit breaker.
Power cord damaged Have power cord replaced by an Authorized
Bosch Service Center or Service Station.
Charger fault Have charger checked by an Authorized Bosch
Service Center or Service Station.
Blue connection
status indicator light
4 is not lighting up.
No Bluetooth®
connection.
GCY42 not installed or
not installed correctly
Check whether the Bluetooth®
Communication Module is correctly fitted and
locked in place.
Mobile device is not
communicating
Switch Bluetooth® off and on again on your
mobile device.
Check the app on your mobile device.
Check whether Bluetooth® is activated on
your mobile device.
Check whether your mobile device has been
overloaded.
Out of range Reduce the distance between the charger and
your mobile device.
Signal interference Where possible, ensure that there are no
obstructions (e.g. reinforced concrete, metal
doors) between the charger and your mobile
device. Keep the equipment away from any
sources of electromagnetic interference (e.g.
Wi-Fi transmitters).
