B06WVKYZ17 FAQ for Slow Juicer MESM731M
Q1. Why is it a slow juicer?
Ans. Bosch Slow Juicer is a new age juicer, which helps you extract juice effectively by first
crushing followed by squeezing fruits and vegetables. Both crushing and squeezing actions
occur at very slow speeds ~40 to 50 rotations per minute (rpm). This is also called
masticating juicer, originally from crushing food ingredients. In this manner, it helps you
retain better the nutrients of the ingredients, which are usually lost in a high speed centrifugal
juicer.
Q2. What are the benefits of slow juicing?
Ans.
a) Higher nutrition retention compared to conventional centrifugal juicers/juicer mixer grinders
b) Juice has better consistency and is tastier thanks to the slow process
c) The amount of juice extracted is also much higher compared to conventional juicers
d) There is very low oxidation of nutrients and thus the juice is full of anti-oxidants that are
very beneficial to your health
e) Can be used to even juice leafy vegetables and nuts, which is not possible in conventional
juicers
c) Very low noise
d) Separate pulp extraction
Q3. How do I clean it?
Ans. It is very easy to clean the Bosch Slow Juicer because of the cleaning function. To
clean the juicing drum, just pour water and let the juicer run for some time. The silicone brush
inside the drum ensures proper cleaning. In addition, the brush can be made to rotate in
reverse direction by pressing the reverse rotation switch. This ensures that all the residue
inside the drum are effectively washed out. The Bosch Slow Juicer also comes with a
cleaning brush, which you can use to clean the filters with the bristles. You can also use the
pointed tip of the brush to clean out any residual pulp/fruit in the juice drum outlets for pulp.
Q4. Can I use it to extract juice of hard fruits and vegetables like apples and carrots?
Ans. Yes, Bosch Slow Juicer extracts all types of fruit juices, including hard fruits and
vegetables like apples, berries, carrots, cucumbers, gourds, herbs etc. In addition it can also
be used for extraction of juices from citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, melons etc.
Q5. Can the Bosch Slow Juicer be used for leafy vegetables and nuts?
Ans. Absolutely! The Bosch Slow Juicer can extract juice from leafy vegetables like spinach,
palak, kale, pudina / mint and even bitter gourds (karela). You can also crush nuts and
extract milk from almonds and coconuts.
Q6. What is the advantage of MixControl?
Ans. The Bosch Slow Juicer has the unique feature of MixControl which enables you to get
thick / pulpy or thin juice as per your taste and requirement. You can control the pulpiness in
your juice even while the juicer is operating just by changing the MixControl lever.
Q7. Is the Auger made of plastic?
Ans. Yes, it is made of very high-grade food safe plastic known as Tritan.
Q8. Do I need to peel the fruits before juicing?
Ans. You can chop the fruits like apples etc before juicing. For fruits like orange,
pomegranate etc. you may want to peel them.
