Ŷ Insert the bowl:
Position the bowl tilted forward, then
place down and turn anti-clockwise until
it locks into position.
Ŷ Press the Release button and
move the swivel arm to
position 1.
Ŷ Remove the protective drive lid.
Ŷ Place housing on the drive and turn all
the way in a clockwise direction.
Ŷ Insert driving shaft.
Caution!
The opening in the driving shaft (Fig. E-7)
must not be blocked with food remnants,
etc.
Ŷ Insert the dicer insert. The arrow
on the dicer insert and the arrow
on the housing must be in alignment!
Ŷ Attach the lid (note mark, Fig. E-9) and
turn all the way in a clockwise direction.
Ŷ Connect the mains plug.
Ŷ Turn rotary switch to recommended
setting.
Ŷ Place the food to be diced in the feed
tube. If required, apply light pressure
to the pusher. If required, chop up food
beforehand.
Caution!
Empty the bowl without delay:
– after processing max. 1500 g,
– before the cubes have reached
the lower edge of the dicer.
Notes:
– To remove/empty the bowl, it is not nec-
essary to take the dicer out of the appli-
ance. Simply press the Release button
and move the swivel arm to position 2.
– While processing different foods accord-
ing to a recipe, occasional cleaning of
the dicer is not necessary.
After using the appliance
Ŷ Set the rotary switch to 0/off.
Ŷ Pull out the mains plug.
Ŷ Rotate the lid in an anti-clockwise direc-
tion and remove.
Ŷ Take the dicer insert out of the housing.
Ŷ Take out driving shaft.
Ŷ Rotate the housing in an anti-clockwise
direction and remove.
Ŷ Remove food remnants from the cutting
grid using the cutting grid cleaner.
Disassembling dicer insert

Ŷ Press out the 3 catches and remove
cutter disc.
Ŷ Take cutting grid out of the base holder.
For some models:
Continuous-feed shredder insert
Slicing reversible disc –
thick / thin
For slicing fruit and vegetables.
Process at setting 5 (3).
Identification on the
slicing reversible disc:
“1” for the thick cutting side
“3” for the thin cutting side
Caution!
The slicing reversible disc is not suitable for
slicing hard cheese, bread, rolls or choco-
late. Slice boiled, waxy potatoes only when
they are cold.
Shredding reversible disc –
coarse / fine
For shredding vegetables, fruit and cheese,
except for hard cheese (e.g. Parmesan).
Processing at setting 3 (2) or 4 (3).
Indications on the shredding reversible disc:
“2” for the coarse shredding side
“4” for the fine shredding side
Caution!
The shredding reversible disc is not suitable
for shredding nuts. Shred soft cheese with
the coarse side only at setting 7 (4).
Grating disc – medium-fine
For grating raw potatoes, hard
cheese (e.g. Parmesan), cooled chocolate
and nuts.
Process at setting 7 (4).
Caution!
The grating disc is not suitable for grating
soft cheese and cheese slices.
