Working with the continuous-
feed shredder insert

Ŷ Press the Release button and
move the swivel arm to
position 2.
Ŷ Insert the bowl:
Position the bowl tilted forward, then
place down and turn anti-clockwise until
it locks into position.
Ŷ Press the Release button and
move the swivel arm to
position 1.
Ŷ Remove the protective drive lid.
Ŷ Place housing on the drive and turn all
the way in a clockwise direction.
Ŷ Insert driving shaft.
Caution!
The opening in the driving shaft
(Fig. G-7) must not be blocked with food
remnants, etc.
Ŷ Place cutting disc on disc holder. Turn
the desired slicing/shredding side facing
upwards. Place disc onto the disc holder
such that the drive couplings on the disc
holder grip into the disc openings. Disc
must rest on the lateral lug of the disc
holder.
Ŷ Lightly rotating, attach disc holder to
the driving shaft.
Ŷ Attach the lid (note mark, Fig. G-10)
and turn all the way in a clockwise
direction.
Ŷ Connect the mains plug.
Ŷ Turn rotary switch to recommended
setting.
Ŷ Put food to be processed in the feed
tube and push down with the pusher.
Caution!
Prevent the cut ingredients from building
up in the outlet opening.
Tip: To ensure even cutting results, process
thin ingredients in bunches.
After using the appliance
Ŷ Switch off the appliance with the rotary
switch.
Ŷ Rotate the lid in an anti-clockwise
direction and remove.
Ŷ Lift the disc holder on the recesses.
Take out discs.
Ŷ Take out driving shaft.
Ŷ Rotate the housing in an anti-clockwise
direction and remove.
Ŷ Clean parts.
Cleaning and servicing
W Caution!
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Surfaces may be damaged. Do not wash
dicer insert components in the dishwasher,
blades will become blunt.
Ŷ Before cleaning the dicer insert, disas-
semble it.
Ŷ Pre-rinse all parts under running water.
Clean parts with a brush.
Ŷ Clean driving shaft with a damp cloth
only.
Important information
The opening in the driving shaft (Fig. E-7
or G-7) must not be blocked with food
remnants, etc. Remove all remnants with
a brush.
All other components (housing, lid, pusher,
continuous-feed shredder insert) are
dishwasher-safe.
Do not wedge plastic parts in the dish-
washer as they could become deformed.
Tip: To remove the red film after process-
ing e.g. carrots, pour a little cooking oil
on a cloth and rub the film off the plastic
parts (not the cutting discs). Then rinse
the parts.
