Why won't my Bosch Coffee Maker start brewing?

The brewing process might not start for several reasons. Ensure a T DISC is inserted. If it is, the appliance may not be recognizing the T DISC bar code; try cleaning the T DISC reading window with a soft, damp cloth. Smooth out the foil of the T DISC with your finger so that the bar code can be read. You can also try a new T DISC. Also, make sure the brewing unit is properly closed by cleaning it with a soft, damp cloth, especially around the lid area. Finally, ensure the appliance was switched on before you inserted the T DISC.
