Service Bulletin
Rotate cycle selector knob to Permanent Press (3), then push Start button. Start light flashes when test # 3 has
been selected, but stays on when individual tests start, run and end.
Test each part individually as follows:
Motor – Rotate cycle knob to No Final Spin. Rotate knob from No Final Spin to end test. Motor turns drum
clockwise @ 27 RPM.
Drain pump – Push Delay Start button (Delay Start light comes on). Push button again to end test. Drain pump
runs -- listen for drain pump running or look for water draining from washer.
Heater – Push Power Wash button (1
st
fill washer with water using one of three water valves below). Power Wash
light comes on. Push button again to end test. Digital display shows temperature rise in 1ºC steps ( è è ,
etc. -- temperature rises ~ 1ºC/minute.
Dual cold water valve (Pre-wash) – Push Pre-wash button (Pre-wash light comes on). Push button again to end
test. Water from left half of dual inlet valve (viewing front of washer) flows into right side of dispenser. Pull dispenser
door slightly to view water (without splashing).
Dual cold water valve (Wash) – Push Quick Wash button (Quick Wash light comes on). Push button again to end
test. Water from right half of dual inlet valve (viewing front of washer) flows into left side of dispenser. Pull dispenser
door slightly to view water (without splashing).
Hot water valve – Push Rinse Plus button (Rinse Plus light comes on). Push button again to end test. Water
pulses, then flows into left side of dispenser. Pull dispenser door slightly to view water (without splashing).
To exit test program (from any test), turn unit off by pressing "ON/OFF" button.

Test # 3 -- Water valves, motor, drain pump & heater separately:
HINT: To save time, fill with a little
water so heater will heat more quickly.
HINT: During water valve and heater tests, display can show 01 i
f
water fill not completed or 02 if water not fully heated. This is normal.
HINT: Hot water pulses initially to dissolve powdered detergent.
HINT: The buzzer sounds if a fault occurs or any cycle ends. Change buzzer volume as follows:
1. Exit test program by pressing "ON/OFF" button.
2. Turn washer on by pressing "ON/OFF" button.
3. Press and hold "PRE-WASH" button – buzzer volume goes through a set order:
loud Ø medium Ø soft Ø off
4. Release "PRE-WASH" button when you hear buzzer volume you want.

HINT: To drain washer to open locked door (locked during wash or test):
Exit test program by turning washer off. Turn washer on, then rotate cycle selector knob to Drain (6).
Display will show 2, showing draining will take 2 minutes. Door can be opened after washer drains,
Door Locked light turns off and CL shows on display (door locks during testing, but Door Locked light
doesn’t turn on).
