Overview

This document describes the Bosch WTR85V0OIL tumble dryer, a household appliance designed for drying laundry.

Function Description

The Bosch WTR85V0OIL is a tumble dryer manufactured by Bosch, designed to efficiently dry various types of laundry. It features a range of programmes and settings to cater to different fabric types and desired dryness levels. The appliance operates by circulating heated air through the drum, removing moisture from the laundry. Condensation generated during the drying process is collected in a container or can be discharged directly into a waste-water system via a drain hose. The dryer also incorporates a fluff filter to collect lint and a heat exchanger that requires periodic cleaning to maintain efficiency.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the appliance's performance and longevity.

  • Emptying the Condensation Container: The condensation container should be pulled out horizontally and emptied after each use. Alternatively, a drain hose can be connected to discharge water directly into a waste-water system.
  • Removing the Fluff: The two-part fluff filter must be cleaned after every drying cycle. This involves pulling it apart, removing all fluff, and rinsing it under warm, running water.
  • Cleaning the Moisture Sensor: The moisture sensor, located inside the drum, should be cleaned regularly with a rough sponge to remove any detergent or care product residue.
  • Cleaning the Base Unit: The base unit, including the heat exchanger cover and filter mat, needs cleaning when indicated on the display or if visible soiling is present. This involves:
    1. Cleaning the fluff filter.
    2. Opening the maintenance flap.
    3. Unlocking and pulling out the heat exchanger cover.
    4. Removing the filter mat from the cover.
    5. Cleaning the heat exchanger cover with a soft brush.
    6. Rinsing the filter mat under running water and squeezing out water.
    7. Optionally, lifting a tab on the insert, pulling it out, rinsing it, and cleaning the opening in the appliance.
    8. Carefully cleaning the fins on the heat exchanger with a vacuum cleaner and brush attachment.
    9. Reassembling all parts.
  • General Cleaning: The appliance should be cleaned with water and a soft, damp cloth. Cleaning agents containing solvents should not be used.
  • Safety during Maintenance: Always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance. Never touch live components or the sharp fins of the heat exchanger. Repairs should only be carried out by authorized customer service or an electrician.
