For children, insert the temperature probe less than
1.5 cm inside the rectal sphincter.
The Temperature display begins to show temperature
readings a few seconds after placing the probe. If the
measured temperature is not within the display limits
then an error code is displayed.
The probe reaches body temperature three to four
minutes after being placed.
5. Press the Temperature Start button to freeze the
display.
6. Once the measurement is complete, remove the
probe from the patient.
When removing the probe, hold the cover to the
probe by the arrow tab to ensure that the cover is
removed with the probe.
7. Remove the probe sheath by holding the arrow tab
and pulling out the probe.
8. Place the used probe sheath into a biohazards waste
receptacle.
