What to do if platforms are not horizontal when resting on the ratchets for Bradbury Equipment Lifting columns?
    • B
      Brian WilliamsAug 8, 2025
If the platforms of your Bradbury Equipment Lifting columns are not horizontal when resting on the ratchets, this is likely due to incorrect adjustment. Adjust the platforms and cross beams until they are horizontal. Slacken the nut under the top plate for the rail. Raise or lower the ratchet rails as required using the adjustment bolts in the top of the posts. After adjustment, tighten the lock nut under the top plate for the rail. Ratchet rails should preferably be adjusted to the lowest possible position.

If the platforms of your Bradbury Equipment Lifting columns are no longer horizontal when hanging in cables under load, it may be because one or several cables have stretched. Adjust the cables (see page 6).
