Why is my Bradford White MAGNUM Water Heater not heating or only delivering lukewarm water?

  If your Bradford White Water Heater's booster heater isn't heating at all or only delivers water at 120°–150°F (49°–66°C), several issues could be the cause. The unit may have been energized without water (dry fired), which causes the elements to burn out quickly, so replace the element(s). Also, check if the fuses are blown or the circuit breaker is tripped, ensure proper fuse sizing, replace fuses, and check/reset the circuit breaker. The temperature setting might be out of calibration; it should be a maximum of 190°F (88°C). If the high limit switch may be tripped or defective, reset the switch. If switch continues to trip or cannot be reset contact an Authorized Service Agent.

Finally, if the booster heater is more than 5 linear feet from the dishwasher, the pipes should be insulated and/or a recirculating system should be installed to prevent the water from cooling off inside the pipe.
