- Place food to be processed into the jug.
- Place the lid (b) firmly on the jug.
- Insert the measuring cup (a) firmly into the lid opening.
- Turn the power base on using the rotary switch.
- Speed Settings (refer to table on page 3 of the manual):
- I: Light applications with liquid ingredients – mixing small amounts of liquids and/or solid ingredients.
- II: For thicker consistency and finest results.
- P (Pulse): Instant power bursts. The rotary switch does not catch at this setting; hold it in the pulse position or turn it repeatedly to this position.
- Best Results Tips:
- When puréeing solid ingredients, add small portions gradually instead of a large quantity at once.
- Cut solid ingredients into small pieces (2-3 cm) before mixing.
- Always start mixing solid ingredients with a small amount of liquid, then gradually add more liquid through the lid opening.
- For mayonnaise, oil can be added through the drip hole in the measuring cup.
- Use the pulse mode for solid or highly viscous ingredients to prevent the blade from becoming stagnant.
- Always operate the unit with your hand positioned on the top.
- For small quantities of foodstuff, use speed level one.
- Safety Precautions:
- Do not use the appliance without any load in the jug.
- Allow hot liquids to cool off before pouring them into the jug.
- Be careful when pouring hot liquid into the blender, as sudden steaming can cause it to eject from the appliance.
- The blades are very sharp; handle with care.
- Do not reach into the jug while the lid is open to avoid injury from the knife.
- The appliance only works if the jug is correctly assembled on the power base with the lid (including measuring cup) on.
- During first usages under heavier load, the appliance may emit a slight smell; this is normal and not a technical defect.
- Troubleshooting (refer to table on page 46 of the manual):
- Blender not working: Check power connection, household fuses/circuit breakers. If all are fine, contact Braun Service Centre.
- Liquid leaking from jug: Check if the jug is correctly attached (turn left or right to ensure proper position). Check if the gasket is properly fitted.
- Liquid splashing from lid: Check maximum fill recommendations. Refer to speed recommendations.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning (Prior to first use): Clean all parts of the jug blender before first use.
- Power Base (g):
- Do not immerse the power base in water.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth only.
- Assembled Jug:
- After emptying, fill the jug with water.
- Place it on the power base and turn the rotary switch to the "P" (pulse) setting several times.
- Empty the jug and rinse clean.
- Disassembled Jug:
- Ensure the jug is empty before unscrewing the fastener ring (f).
- Handle the blade with caution.
- All detachable parts are dishwasher-safe.
- For efficient cleaning of the lid, remove the lid gasket (c).
