Function Description

The core of the Braun FaceSpa Pro is its main appliance, which houses the motor, controls, and battery. This appliance is designed for cordless operation, particularly when used with the cleansing brush in wet conditions, ensuring safety during use in the bath or shower.

Epilation Head (2): This attachment is specifically designed for precise facial hair removal from the root. It features tweezers that gently grasp and remove individual hairs. The epilation head is intended for dry use only and is ideal for areas like the upper lip, chin, and between or above the eyebrows. It is not recommended for use on eyelashes or for shaping eyebrows.

Cleansing Brush (7): The cleansing brush, when attached via the brush adapter (8), transforms the device into a facial cleansing tool. It is suitable for both wet and dry use, allowing it to be integrated into daily skincare routines with water, soap, cleansers, cleansing milk, gel, or peeling products. The brush is designed to be guided with gentle pressure and circular motions to effectively clean the skin, avoiding the eye area and hairline. This attachment includes a treatment timer, providing a short pause every 20 seconds to indicate when to move to the next face zone.

MicroVibration Head (9): This attachment is designed for applying liquid skincare products. It features a switch (9a) that allows users to select between gentle and intense modes, each with two speed settings. The micro-vibration head utilizes a delicate tapping action to ensure efficient and economic application of skincare products, promoting better absorption. Similar to the cleansing brush, it also has a treatment timer, signaling users to move to a different face zone every 20 seconds.

Usage Features

The Braun FaceSpa Pro is user-friendly with several features to enhance the experience:

Charging: The device is charged using the special cord set (6) and should be charged for approximately one hour before initial use. Once charged, it operates cordless. The pilot light (3) indicates the charging status: flashing white for charging in progress, constant white for fully charged, yellow flashing for low battery (below 10%), and fast yellow flashing when the motor has stopped due to low battery, requiring a recharge. The optimal charging and operating temperature is between 15 and 30 °C. An overheating/motor blocking safety feature causes the red pilot light to flash/shine constantly and the motor to turn off, requiring the device to cool down before restarting.

Switch (4): The central switch (I) is used to turn the appliance on and off. Depending on the attached head, additional functions are available. For the epilation head, it controls left or right rotation. For the brush and micro-vibration attachments, it controls speed 1 or 2.

Treatment Timer: Both the cleansing brush and micro-vibration head are equipped with a treatment timer. This feature provides a short pause every 20 seconds, prompting the user to move the device to a different facial zone (e.g., left cheek, right cheek, forehead) for balanced treatment.

Travel Lock: To prevent accidental activation, the device can be locked by pressing the switch center (I) for 3 seconds. A beep confirms activation. To unlock, the switch must be pressed for 3 seconds again. If unlocking fails, three beeps will sound, and the user can retry or connect the appliance to the mains.

Epilation Usage: For epilation, the skin and epilation head should be clean. The skin should be stretched with one hand, and the appliance guided with gentle pressure against the direction of hair growth. Pressing too hard should be avoided to prevent skin injury. For the upper lip, using the tongue to push from below can help stretch the skin. After epilation, applying a moisturizing cream is recommended to soothe the skin. First-time users might prefer epilating in the evening to allow any redness to subside overnight.

Cleansing Brush Usage: After attaching the cleansing brush, it can be used with water and various cleansing products. The brush should be guided with gentle, circular motions, avoiding the eye area and hairline.

MicroVibration Head Usage: Once attached, the micro-vibration head can be used to apply liquid skincare products. The switch (9a) allows selection between gentle and intense modes, each with two speeds. The delicate tapping action helps in the efficient absorption of skincare products. The head should be guided slowly over the three facial zones, with the timer indicating when to move to the next zone.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of the Braun FaceSpa Pro:

Cleaning:

MicroVibration Head (9): Should be cleaned with a damp cloth and not in water.
Epilation Head (2): The tweezers should be carefully cleaned with the provided cleaning brush (10). The brush can be dipped in 70% ethanol for disinfection. The epilation head itself should not be cleaned with water.
Cleansing Brush/Pad (7,8): This is the only attachment that can be rinsed under running water. For thorough cleaning with soap and warm water, the brush (7) can be detached from the adapter by pressing the release button (8a). All parts should be left to dry completely before reattaching.

Replacement: For optimal performance, the cleansing brush (7) should be replaced every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles become deformed due to frequent use. Replacement brush refills (ref. no. 80 Face) are available from retailers, Braun Service Centres, or www.braun.com.
