The flight data for 50 flights are filed in the memory for the AV unit.
A flight is only acknowledged as one if it has lasted longer than 3 minu-
tes and shows a height difference of more than 25 m (100ft) The flight
recorder will automatically started if there is a significant signal from the
vario as it happens during the start phase. After a flight pressing the
memo key accesses the memo mode.
Memo Mode is accessed by pressing the key. The keys can
be used to flip through the saved flight pages. The following is display-
ed: max. climb, max. height , and the date of of the flight.
The flight number appears at the right side of the display.
In addition, it is possible to read off the max. height , max. descent
and the duration of the flight by pressing the key.
If max climb/sink was more than 8 m/s, this value will be displayed alter-
nately with the flight number.
An additional statistical function has been added. The new altitude A3
adds up the total of all climbed meters or ft during a flight and will be
shown after pressing the key .
All Flights are deleted in Memo mode 0 by pressing the keys
2 sec. together
The new AV Series offers a much more efficient utilisation of the battery
capacity. We recommend that two 1.5V alcaline cells, size AA
(Mignon) be used for the battery. The battery capacity for the active bat-
tery is constantly monitored in the lower graphic display (bar graph).
Operating times of approx. 80 hours are achieved if quality alcaline
cells are used.
Attention! Please remove empty batteries! They may leak!
At present, there a variety of possibilities for attaching the instrument on
the pilot or the glider.
To find the proper fastener, make some enquiries from your dealer or
the manufacturer.
