Why does my Breckwell SP24i Wood stove shut off and the #3 light flash?
    • T
      Tammy MartinezJul 28, 2025
The Breckwell Wood stove might shut off and the #3 light might flash due to several reasons. It could be that the hopper is out of pellets, so you should refill it. Another cause could be that the air damper is too far open for a low feed setting; if burning on low, close the damper. Also, ensure the burnpot is pushed completely to the rear of the firebox, with the air intake collar touching the rear wall. Blocked burnpot holes can also cause this, so remove and clean the burnpot thoroughly. A blockage in the air inlet, interior chambers, or exhaust system may also be the reason, so follow the cleaning procedures in the maintenance section.

What to do if my Breckwell SP24i feeds pellets but won't ignite?
    • A
      Angela RamseyAug 5, 2025
If your Breckwell Wood stove feeds pellets but won't ignite, it could be due to several reasons. The air damper might be open too far for ignition, so push it closer to the side of the stove for startup, even completely closed if necessary. Adjust it after a flame appears. There might also be a blockage in the igniter tube or its inlet; check the air intake hole on the igniter housing and clear any debris. Ensure the burnpot is pushed completely to the rear of the firebox. A bad igniter element could also be the cause; test it by applying direct power and watching for a glow after 2 minutes. Finally, the control board might not be sending power to the igniter; check the voltage during startup and inspect the wiring.

How to stop smoke smell coming back into home from Breckwell SP24i?
    • Q
      qtaylorAug 12, 2025
If you're experiencing a smoke smell coming back into your home from your Breckwell Wood stove, it could be due to a leak in the vent pipe system. Inspect all vent pipe connections and ensure they are sealed with RTV silicone rated for 500°F or higher, and UL-181-AP foil tape. Also, ensure the square to round adapter piece on the combustion blower is properly sealed with the same RTV. Another potential cause is a bad gasket on the combustion blower; inspect both gaskets to ensure they are in good condition.

Why does convection blower on my Breckwell Wood stove shut off and come back on?
    • S
      Sara FuentesAug 19, 2025
The convection blower on your Breckwell Wood stove might shut off and come back on because it is overheating and tripping the internal temperature shutoff. Try cleaning any dust off of the windings and fan blades. If cleaning the blower does not help, it may be faulty. Another possible cause is a circuit board malfunction. Test the current going to the convection blower. If there is power being sent to the blower when it is shut off, then the control board is fine. If there is NOT power being sent to the blower when it shuts off during operation, then you have a bad control board.
